Koh Phangan Weather
November is rainy, while the rest of the year is sunny and warm
There are two seasons in Southern Thailand: wet and dry. Although there are two different
seasons the temperature on Koh Phangan tends to remain fairly constant year round.
It's best to avoid the wettest months of October and November. However, as the weather
conditions are determined by the monsoons, the timing of the rain can change. Aside from
these two months, rainfalls are generally brief. The dry season is from January to August.
The island tends to be most crowded between December to April. August and September
can be rather busy as well, since most Europeans take their holidays during this window.
Consider arriving in April, May and June if you would like to avoid the crowds and take
advantage of the quieter side of Koh Phangan. The Full Moon Party draws a big crowd year
round, so we recommend booking in advanced if you know that you will be arriving when the
party is being held. Most hotels will be fully booked 3 days before and after the party. For
expected party dates, please refer to the Full Moon Party section on our website.
